Minas Gerais bedeutet General Mines und war und ist die Bergbauregion Brasiliens. Es wurde während des Goldrausches im 18. Jahrhundert gegründet. Dort finden sich Edel- und Halbedelsteine sowie Aluminium und viele andere Erze. In Ouro Preto hielt ich meinen ersten Alexandrit in der Hand. Leider konnte ich es mir nicht leisten. Es gibt aber auch Kaffee, Zuckerrohr, Maniok und andere landwirtschaftliche Produkte aus Minas.
Minas Gerais means General Mines and it was and is the mining region of Brazil. It was founded during the goldrush in the 18th century. Precious and semi-precious stones as well as aluminum and many other ores are found there. I held my first Alexandrite in my hand in Ouro Preto. Unfortunately I couldn’t afford it. But there is also coffee, sugar cane, manioc and other agricultural products coming from Minas.

China | Hunnan Province
Hunan: Auf zum Tianmenshan.. der Berg Tianmen bei der Stadt Zhangjiajie ist auch bekannt als „einer der schönsten Berge in der Welt“. Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten den Gipfel zu erstürmen, Treppensteigen bei 40 Grad, mir läuft jetzt schon das Wasser aus allen Poren, da höre ich die Reiseführerin sagen, sie habe Bedenken, dass wir nicht alle die Treppen schaffen.
